Q.1: What brand cameras systems do you carry?

We have a diverse range of camera systems to suit all budgets and applications. We primarily use and recommend Clarion systems and have budget systems from the ProVision Plus™ range.

Q.2: How long is the warranty on your products?

We honour the manufactures warranty on all of our camera products and reversing safety camera systems. Clarion offers a 12 month warranty on their rear vision camera systems, with their support from their Melbourne based premises. ProVision Plus™ products also carry a 12 month warranty for all monitors, cameras, reversing safety systems and rear vision accessories.

Q.3: Is it possible to install a camera system myself?

It is possible to install your camera system, however, a basic knowledge of auto electrical is recommended. All rear view camera systems and products come with installation manuals to assist you with this.

Q.4: How long does and installation take?

Self installation will vary depending on the type of vehicle to be installed with your camera vision system. It will generally take approximately 4 - 5 hours to install a rear vision camera system to your vehicle.

This time estimate may change from static machinery and cars, to heavy vehicles such as Waste Vehicles, Road Sweepers, Vans, Caravans, Motor-homes, Cranes, Horse Floats, Buses, Emergency Vehicles, Semi Trailers, Transport Vehicles, Forklifts, Earthmoving Equipment, and Agricultural Equipment.

Q.5: Do you stock both colour and black and white systems?

The Clarion systems come in either black and white monitor versions or colour monitor versions. ProVision Plus™ systems are colour only.

Q.6: Apart from the choice of black and white or colour, what are the
other differences between these two systems?

Clarion supplies only colour cameras, however the choice of monitor will determine the picture. The black and white monitors are a CRT type monitor and naturally, are a lot larger compared to the LCD colour monitors.

Q.7: How does the camera automatically come on in reverse?

All systems are wired into either the reverse relay or reverse switch, which will provide a trigger upon selection of reverse which will power up the monitor to show you the view.

Q.8: Do the systems come in 12 and 24 volt?

All systems we supply are internally switching to accept either 12 or 24 VDC input.

Q.9: Where would I mount the camera and monitor?

The monitor is typically mounted in the field of view, depending on the vehicle, this may be on the dashboard, in the dashboard, or suspended from the bulkhead.

The camera is ideally located at the highest point at the rear of the vehicle. This allows for a better overall view of the area behind the vehicle. You can ask one of our reversing camera specialists about the best positioning for in-car cameras, truck cameras, forklift cameras or any other rear view cameras and monitors.

Q.10: What monitor screen sizes are available?

In the black and white range, Clarion has a 6" and a 4.5" monitor. In the colour range, Clarion have a 5.6" and 6.5" monitor and ProVision Plus™ have a 4.2", 5" and 7" monitor.

Q.11: Can you connect more than one camera?

Yes, multiple cameras can easily be connected. Clarion has a power box that accepts three camera inputs, with the facility to add on a three camera switch box. Depending on which model, ProVision Plus™ has a two, three and four camera input versions. Please click here to view our examples.

Q.12: How good is the view in low light?
